Global Friendship Day
Dominica Twinning Challenge
We started the day off with learning all about the Dominica Twinning Challenge in the morning.
We coloured the Dominica Flag, wrote a postcard to our sponsored Brownie Unit #3, and made a facemask/costume. We than paraded around to Caribbean Music.
In the afternoon we did the 4 World Centres Challenge. We learned a little something about each World centre along with a craft. We also learned a game or folk tale and snacked on food and drink from each country the World Centres are located.
SANGAM - India
We decorated elephants with glitter glue and sequins. We tried Chai Tea and Samosa’s and listened to an India Folk Tale.
OUR CHALET – Switzerland
We made paper apples after listening to the tale of William Tell. We also had Apple Juice along with a piece of swiss cheese and swiss chocolate to sample.
OUR CABANA – Mexico
We made tissue paper flowers and maracas. We had taco chips, salsa and Sangria to sample and played a game.
PAX LODGE – England
We decorated princess’ crowns; we had ladyfingers and iced tea to try and sang the Muffin Man song with all the actions.
